Make New Friends @ Paint and Mingle
Ksh3500.00
Okay. Enough doom-scrolling and pretending you’re “busy.”
Our next grand expedition into the noble art of making new friends is Paint and Mingle, happening on Saturday, 14th March at Zayari Oasis in Karen, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
And before you ask — no, you don’t need to be Picasso. You just need hands. Ideally steady ones.
Your ticket is all-inclusive with:
• All painting materials
• A 3-course lunch buffet
• Two glasses of wine (non-alcoholic options available)
• Board games
The Itinerary:
1. Connect: First, we ease you in gently. Conversation icebreakers and board games — because launching straight into deep emotional vulnerability with strangers is awkward without breaking the ice.
2. Communal Dining: Then, a proper communal dining affair. A 3-course buffet. None of that “one lettuce leaf and a drizzle of ambition” nonsense. Real food.
3. Brief Guidance: After that, a brief introduction to the fundamentals of painting on canvas. Just enough instructions to stop your masterpiece looking like it was done by a confused raccoon. It's not that serious though.
4. Let The Creative Juices Flow: Then comes the fun part: free expression. Paint whatever you like. A landscape. An abstract swirl of existential dread. Your ex. Meanwhile, wine will be served — which, historically, improves both confidence and brushwork.
5. Collaborate: And once you’ve completed your solo art piece, we’ll collaborate on one large canvas together — which will either be magnificent or mildly chaotic. Possibly both.
6. Unwind: We’ll wind down the afternoon with more wine, board games, and fireside chats — the sort that will make it look like you've known people at the event for years even though you arrived not knowing a single person.
It will be an afternoon to switch off the noise, reconnect with your creativity, and socialize with people who also thought, “Yes, this sounds infinitely better than staying home.”
P.S. If the weather decides to be dramatic, we’ll light up the fireplace or bonfire, because nothing says “creative genius” like staring thoughtfully into flames.
And yes, parking is available at the venue.
See you there!
