K1 Social Sunday

What happens when you put board games, chess, painting, music, books and interesting people at the same place on a Sunday afternoon? You get K1 Social Sunday — a gathering for people who enjoy good company, trying new things and making meaningful connections without the usual pressures of socialising.

In collaboration with K1 Klubhouse and Bishops Bridge Chess Club, we're bringing you a Sunday afternoon designed to feed your creativity, challenge your mind and give you a rather good reason to leave the house.

Here's what you can look forward to:

Board Games: A board game space where you can learn and play different from deep strategy, tense social deduction, bluffing games to lively party games and collaborative cooperative games.

Chess: A chess zone designed for beginners and seasoned players with low pressure. If you’re a beginner, we'll have trainers who will teach you how to play chess.

Painting & Craft: This zone is for the people who want to unleash their inner artists and connect with no pressure. Every Sunday, we’ll have different art themes such as painting, candle making, shell painting, crochet, drawing, and other creative artistic projects.

Curated Conversations: Put your phone down, meet interesting people and get into conversations that go beyond the usual introductions and small talk.

Silent Reading: Bring a book, find a comfortable spot and enjoy the rare pleasure of reading alongside other people without anyone expecting you to talk. The silent reading will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Live Band Performance: As the afternoon unfolds, we'll turn up the atmosphere with a live band performance at 6 PM followed by live DJ sets.

• Advance ticket: KES 1,000

• Gate ticket: KES 1,500

Ticket Policy 

• Your ticket gives you access to all the activity zones.

• The ticket is non-redeemable for food and drinks. 

Event Disclaimer 

• All activities run at the same time. You can move between the different zones and choose whichever activities interest you. You're free to spend your time playing games, trying out crafts, having conversations or simply relaxing with a book.

• Painting and craft spaces are limited. Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all available spots are filled, we won't be able to accommodate additional participants in that zone. Arrive early if you'd like to take part!

• Silent reading ends at 4 PM. The other activities will continue according to the event schedule.

You can come alone to connect with other people or you can bring your friends to enjoy the activities together. It doesn’t matter – you will have fun either way.
